ESC Gaming pick up sh4dow

ESC Gaming have completed the signing of Chris "sh4dow" Burghardt from LeiSure.

The German team have been in impressive form in the EPS league, and currently stand fifth on 15 points, just three points behind leaders Alternate.

However, ESC Gaming announced earlier on Tuesday Lucas "recki' Reckermann has stepped down as a player to become inactive.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that EAS side LeiSure's Chris "sh4dow" Burghardt, a former member of GAMED.DE and a-Losers, will fill the void created by Reckermann's departure.

"recki have some problems in his real life he has to take care of" ESC manager Sascha "schakaL" Müller told HLTV.org. "So he does not have the time and focus to be 100 per cent focused on ESC. Without that 100 per cent, we cannot reach the high goals we have set for this season."

"We had to choose a player that was not playing in any EPS team or did not belong to an EPS team-account as all those players are barred for the remainder of the season,

"Some of the players know him [sh4dow], so we asked him to play for us as a fifth for the rest of the season. After a meeting with him, we came to an agreement and he is now part of the team."

Despite making a roster change six weeks into the season, Müller refutes the idea that it will affect the team's league goals.

"Our objectives will be the same," he noted. "We will fight for the fourth place, so that we can play at the season finals in December in Cologne."
